Greetings from Healesville Exhibition
Where: Healesville Community Branch of the Bendigo Bank
Andrew Mackenzie OAM collected and presented over 300 historic photographs to the Healesville & District Historical Society as part of Healesville’s 150th Celebrations.
Healesville Community Branch of the Bendigo Bank is proud to sponsor this exciting project and will host a rolling exhibition of these magnificent images at the bank from Tuesday 24th June through to the end of November 2014
Come ‘N Try Vintage Croquet and Tennis
Where: Queens Park
Description: Healesville Tennis Club established in 1889 originally offer croquet and tennis to Healesville invites you to Come ‘N Try Vintage Croquet commencing at 2pm with a 30 minute exhibition match (Lilydale Croquet Club) followed by free play with coaching. Period costume optional. From 2pm – 330pm you can Come ‘N Try Vintage Tennis using Wooden Racquets (Provided or BYO) at Queens Park Tennis Courts. Special Prize for period costume. Free Family Fun until 4pm with an afternoon tea served at 330pm. Afternoon tea will include birthday cake to celebrate the Healesville Tennis Clubs 125th birthday.

Celebrate Healesville’s waterways with us and be led on a mesmerizing walk and experience interwoven stories, living sculptures, and creative installations as we follow the trail of platypus habitat.

St Brigids Primary School Art Fair Fundraiser
Where: St Brigids Primary School, 1 High Street, Healesville VIC 3777
Description: Each year, St Brigid’s holds an art show, exhibiting the students work from throughout the year. The art show is a much loved part of the school year and the students thoroughly enjoy the opportunity to have their work displayed to the wider school community and this year they have invited the greater community to join them. This year St Brigid’s students have been working on their pieces with a 150th theme and there will be a writing area displaying the children’s work.
Senior Citizens Club Afternoon Tea
Where: Senior Citizens Hall (crn Green St and River St)
Description: Entertainer Rick Lewis will be playing and singing to entertain visitors. Afternoon tea will be served for a gold coin donation and at approx. 3pm local politicians will unveil the Senior Citizen’s inaugural Life Membership Board and present awards to each person receiving a Life Membership to the club.
Healesville Music Festival
Description:The Healesville Music Festival is a family friendly event held in the beautiful township of Healesville, nestled just 70 kms from Melbourne in the world famous Yarra Valley. The festival, which is now in its fifth year, has previously been held in March, but this year the date has been changed to 14th & 15th November, to coincide with the Healesville 150th Anniversary celebrations.
The festival aims to support the Yarra Valley’s diverse population of local musicians and its cultural diversity as well as showcasing world class touring artists in a music festival atmosphere like no other. Come along and enjoy the relaxed and friendly atmosphere, the celebrations and, of course, the music.
Healesville Living Library: Come and Borrow a Living Book
Where: Healesville Library
Description: Come to the library and meet local people with interesting, varied stories of experiences of Healesville. You can borrow them out as a ‘living books’ and hear some of their stories. Afternoon tea will also be served. Healesville library events.
Healesville Historic Picnic Races
Where: Healesville Racecource
Description: They’re off. The Healesville racecourse is the perfect setting for a family picnic. There is plenty of lawn space and many shaded areas for spreading the picnic rug. The racing is keen with large fields. The feeling of being close to the action where ever you are around the course, adds excitement to the pleasure of relaxing in a picturesque setting.

RACV Lyrebird Enclosure Celebration Day
Where: Healesville Sanctuary
Description: In October 1960 the RACV launched an appeal for funds to build a sanctuary for Lyrebirds to prevent extinction and ensure Lyrebirds were accessible for future generations. To coincide with the 150th birthday celebrations, the RACV is proud to announce its ongoing commitment to the RACV Lyrebird Aviary at the Healesville Sanctuary by supporting a major redvelopment of the aviary to create a more engaging experience for visitors. As part of this new commitment, the RACV will be holding a celebration day with two for the price of one entry tickets for all RACV members.
RACV members must show their valid RACV membership card prior to purchasing tickets. Offer valid from 9am to 5pm on Sunday 23rd November 2014 only. RACV cardholders must purchase one full priced ticket to receive a second ticket to equal or lesser value free.
Healesville Horse Show
When: Sun 30th Nov 2014 gates open from 7.30am
Where: Healesville Racecourse
Description: A horse show with Pony Club, Open, Adult Riding and Fun ring for all ages. All riders in the area are welcome.
“Off the Track” awards in all rings except the fun ring.
Adult Riding and Pony Club High Point Award.
“Best Period Costume” and Fancy Dress classes at lunch time.
Canteen provided by the Healesville Scouting Group.
